How much do custom curtains cost in Brisbane?

For a first budget, start with one window. Brisbane retailer The Flooring Guys lists supply-only sheers at $93.50–$121 per metre of measured width and blockout curtains at $148.50–$192.50. Fitting costs extra. Use these published figures as a reference before getting a price for your own window.

What do those prices include?

The Brisbane figures are based on the width the curtain covers, before installation. The two room examples come from a different retailer and include its customers’ chosen tracks. All figures are Australian dollars, include GST as published by those retailers and were checked on 4 November 2026. What changes the price of a made-to-measure curtain?

Two windows of the same width can need different amounts of fabric. A ceiling track running from wall to wall covers more than the glass alone. The finished drop, the amount of fabric in the folds and the selected fabric range also affect the price. A sheer and a blockout that open separately need two curtains and two tracks.

What should I look for on a curtain quote?

Match the quotes room by room. Look for the width and drop, face fabric, lining or coating, number of tracks, and what is allowed for fitting. If an old blind needs to come down, ask who will remove and dispose of it. Ask for any additional work to be shown separately before you decide.

How do I budget for a whole home?

List each window and what you want it to do. A bedroom may need blockout only, while a street-facing living room may need a sheer for daylight and a separate layer at night. At the measure, ask to see the two living-room options priced separately. That makes the cost of adding the second layer easy to judge.
